Xanga autocharged me for premium and won't give me a refund. I am not a happy customer. I would have continued to blog on my old site occasionally but am set on moving to wordpress, tumblr or blogger very very soon. SO LONG XANGSUCKS. I want my $25 bucks back.
On an unrelated note. here is a video of some fish shared by @kimberbop.
“Community has nothing to do with mutual compatibility. Similarities in educational background, psychological makeup, or social status bring us together, but they can never be the basis for community. Community is grounded in God, who calls us together, and not in the attractiveness of people to each other. There are many groups that have been formed to protect their own interests, to defend their own status, or to promote their own causes, but none of these is a Christian community. Instead of breaking through the walls and creating new space for God, they close themselves to real or imaginary intruders. The mystery of community is precisely that it embraces all people, whatever their individual differences may be, and allows them to live together as brothers and sisters of Christ and sons and daughters of his heavenly Father." - Henri Nouwen
Great times grilling and chillin in the woods. Up state NY is beautiful. I really enjoyed the fresh air and getting out of the city but there is something comforting about coming back to the city. When you see that skyline from afar and you're cruising in Jersey traffic in your car, under the city smoke you can't see the stars but you know the wild wilderness is not too far. I think being in creation really speaks to my soul and reminds me of how large God is and small I am. My ambitions, my desires, my hopes and dreams are so self centered and to live beyond myself and life for all things eternal are ideas that fade faster than a toddler grows out of baby jordans. Need the reminder daily. Need the word. I need more of Him in my life. Anyways, great times in the forrest with friends this long weekend.
It looks as though New York is fairing better overall. I'm curious as to where the bulk of these job losses are aside form finance. I know there has been a mass exodus from NY and rent has dropped here but where have all the California jobs gone? Keep your head up funployment friends you'll find something soon. And if you're on a sweet package a company gave you.. two things. 1 I don't feel bad for you.. yet. and 2 enjoy it while you can. =) Great time to be in school right now. heh
